Cute As A Button!

Hello! How is everyone?!
We've got some exciting things to talk about! First of all we're so excited to announce that we've had over 1,000 visits to our blog! Thank you so much! This has been such a fun experience for the three of us. We love that we can share what we love and we hope that we spark some creativity in our viewers  Thank you again so much for supporting us!

Secondly, in honor of our hitting 1,000 views, we're gearing up for our first giveaway! Depending on how much of a response we get, we're hoping this will be a semi-regular thing. We'll be posting more information on the giveaway very soon!

Finally, we've settled on our new theme for October: Buttons!

Buttons are getting very popular in the crafting world for so many reasons. They are so cute and so versatile in how they can be used. All three of  us decided to make a new card using buttons to show how many different ways that buttons can be used!

Marisol took an adorably animal approach to this challenge! The zebra paper and stamp make this card pop! She has a fantastic ability with blending! This is a great example that you don't have to use the same paper pattern throughout the entire card. The black ribbon accented by her green button gives a nice break in the card to change things up! The color scheme really is fun and creatively used here!

Hannah made this beautiful card! She used her well loved cloud punch in a variety of paper to create these dimensional rain clouds. The use of black was so smart! The streams of rain were created using a pen and some glitter! And the best part, the button rain drops! Her umbrella sentiment just gave the card the sweetest touch.

This is Joyce's take on the button challenge. In this card she used a pretty lace punch and a coordinating paper patter to give the inside and back a unique finish. Lastly, she strung some buttons on a string around the front of the card with some baker's twine.

We all really enjoyed this challenge and we're going to be posting more cards we make throughout the month on our Instagram page so follow us there to see what else we come up with!

And don't forget to keep an eye out for our giveaway coming up VERY SOON! Thank you again to everyone for visiting our page! Let's make it 2,000 views very soon!

All That Glitters: Card Using Digital Stamps

Hello!

We had such fun doing our 10 Items or Less segment last month that we decided to do a new one! This month we'll be focusing all of our creative powers on shinny glittery things! We hope you enjoy the new things we come up with!

Are you ready for summer?  I'm not.  But I know many kids who are super excited to be out of School for the year.  With that in mind, I decided to get a goodie bag for a few of my "pre-teen" friends to wish them a Happy Summer.  So of course I have to start with a Card.

This card is using a Digital Stamp from Sushi Dolls. This one is called "Bookworm." How appropriate I use her on the card today. I wanted to try making a 5"x5" scenery card. Not familiar with Digital Stamps? We will have a post really son explaining what they are. So here is the card that I came up with. Oh, and don't forget to watch the Card Tutorial Here.

Let me know what you think:

This card will be going to a girl named Ta'Jah!
Isn't she a cute image? In fact, did you know that the Three Chicks started our love for one another with our love of books?! Yep, and we still love to read! Thank you all for taking time out to check out our Blog and hope you all have a wonderful day!

Make A Card:10 items or less

Hello Crafters!

Us three chicks decided to start a series on our Blog. We haven't decided what we should call it officially...so lets start it off with Make a card in 10 items or less!

This is especially good for those of you new in making cards or crafting in general. Today we have a card made not only with 10 items or less but also under 10 minutes. Cool, right? Yeah, we think so. Here are the two cards made with one sheet of colored cardstock and some stickers:

Stickers.  Who doesn't love them?  So grab your favorite set of stickers and follow along to see how you can make yourself a cute card or two.
Here we are using a sheet of stickers that have some bright happy colors.  So I pulled out a sheet of your standard size colored cardstock.  Now we cut our cardstock in half.  By doing this we now have two card bases, which equals two cards.

Next, let's pull out a stamp.  I used this Impression Obsession background stamp but any stamp would work with this.  I just stamped the card base with green ink.  By doing that you get a tone-on-tone look.  Gives us a little something for the background.  I only did this on one of the cards.   I even pulled out one of my border punches to give it a little "something".

When I work with stickers I like to stick them on black cardstock and then cut around them.  Just because it gives the stickers a nice border and helps them to stand out.  Notice how I did that with this Hello Sticker.

Are you keeping track of the supplies we are using so far?  Just a few more things used for these cards:

Yah!  How much more simple can it get?  With just a few supplies we were able to make everyday cards for everyday people or as one of our Chicks (Hannah) says: Sticker-rific cards..ha ha

Thank you for visiting us today!
